Random KIlling-Thoughts Of Aggression- (1994 Punk Rock ,contains explicit lyrics.)

"Some of the humour from "Welcome..." is toned down on this their second full-length release from Raw Energy. And boy does this album kick ass. Right away from the opener "Eddy" you know you're into something good. You could call this punk with a groove since it does have a little one going on. Drool's vocals become more sharper, the playing is a little tighter and the lyrics continue to tackle serious topics while using parody.
"Powerplay" about victimization stands-out to me as my favourite track just because of the cool opening riff and drum part along with lyrics that make you think.
Yes, it's still humourous at times but this band really shows it's chops and intelligence. Where a lot of punk is just there to shock and offend, they make meaningful statements while maintaining their sense of fun."
By Chris Hartley

"Random Killing is a Canadian hardcore
punk band that takes you through a
rollercoaster ride-around the sharpest
corners and the highest loops and back
again. Thoughts Of Aggression is a 16-
track album that combines punk, thrash
and metal—including that slow metal
that just makes you headbang for no
apparent reason—into something that
gives the listener no time to relax. At the
helm of this battle cruiser is lead vocalist
Drool, aka Andrew Kiteley. Drool uses his
considerable vocal ability to blurt out his
vulgar lyrics, which have the simplicity of
Grade 5 poetry. Backing up Drool is
Mudd, aka Jim Moore, who creates a bar-
rage of bass notes. With a high amount
of electricity, Sean pounds the drums
and Rusty Talent, aka John Hajdu, brings
catchy, metallic guitar riffs to the mix.
With such songs as “Gotta Get Sober,”
“Johnny Was A Punk,” “W.D.Y.G." and
“Frustration,” Random Killing manage a
mixture of the Ramones, Sex Pistols and
Dead Kennedys, with a touch of metal.
Thoughts Of Aggression sounds a lot like
a kinder, gentler Dayglo Abortions lyric
wise, but still hits you hard, loud and
nonstop."

This CD is our HEAVIEST production-wise. It also has some wicked tunes on it (another one of those unbiased opinions). We recorded this CD at MetalWorks Studios Toronto. For any of you rockers out there the studio is owned and operated by former Triumph band members. Our engineer (Mark Peters - at the time a recent graduate from the recording engineering music industry arts program at Fanshawe College) was HOT SHIT! The sounds he got where HUGE. The drum room in this place was actually a huge warehouse with 20 or 30 foot ceilings. It was very bizarre to see Sean's drums setup in the middle of this room . I was skeptical until I heard the sounds Mark got. We all wet ourselves.

Random killing Toronto, Ontario

Random Killing is a Canadian punk rock band from Toronto, who were assembled in 1984. Their original name was Roy's Comrades, which was a nod to the hated Roy McMurtry, Attorney General of Ontario at the time. After writing a few decent songs, the band decided to record and stay together. In 2013 they were listed in the top 10 Punk bands of all time from Toronto. ... more
